Do not fear the new technologies of Industry 4.0! Nowadays more and more people are developing and creating innovative products by themselves, using a variety of digital tools. The new Makerspace Engineering Education (M.EE) offers exactly this: getting to know new technologies und making your own Project.  Getting startet is not as hard as it seems and can be a lot of fun too.

The M.EE is aimed at all students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. During opening hours, own ideas and projects can be developed and realized in a creative environment. Many inspirations can be found in the M.EE and tutors are present for advice and are happy to help out.

A general safety briefing is a prerequisite for using the M.EE. Please contact the tutors of the M.EE. (- further infomation -)

A short introduction to the M.EE …

During opening hours, the M.EE is available for free use. Before starting to work with various tools and equipment, a safety briefing is usually required. Ask the tutors present and read the notes next to the working stations. Due to various safety issues some of the tools (like the circular saw or etching machine) can only be used under supervision. Please speak to the tutors present.

Within the lectures and courses the available and provided materials can be used. For private projects, we would ask you to bring your own materials (e.g. filament for 3D printing etc.).
